Tight Jeans                                                        The use of performance in Tight Jeans is used to connote the characters personalities to audience to help them identify to one of the characters which makes the short film move engaging.

Ellington Kid
The first scene in The Ellington Kid is an extreme close up of a knife being sharpened which instanly connotes to the audience that violence will be in the short film.

Operator
The use of silence when the woman goes upstairs to get her child creates an atmosphere of suspense. Also the close up on the operators face emphasises how climactic the situation is.

The Fly
The sound of the fly but you cannot see it, only
hear it therefore it aggravates him more and more which then adds to his character which affects his performance. The angry and agitated man is the first thing you would think when you first se him.

Over
The use of multiple long shots of keeps the audience the audience in the dark about what is happening so it keeps the audience guessing also the use of Mise-en-scene with the  forensics in the police station which gives the audience some insight on what's happening.

Echo
The performance in Echo is done in a way in which the audience does not know that she is pretending and trying to deceive people but the audience know so therefore we do not feel remorse for her this is also done with the use of close ups

Arrival
It starts off with a long shot and gradually gets closer with a super slow zoom as she gets closer to her decision. The lighting gets warmer using tones of orange and reds as she warms to the idea of keeping the baby and how good of a father 'he' would be.
