Three Act Structure

Act One: The Setup

At the beginning of the short film the main character will be established with a shot of him in an alleyway then him walking out and he slowly starts to fade away. Then goes to a flash back to how he gets there. Starts with him coming out of his house and him going to school but he is getting bullied shots of him getting pushed around before school and when in school bullies throwing his books . Until he has enough one day after school h when he tries to run away from the bullies but gets hit by a car

Act two: The point of No return

He gets hit by car but at first he does not realise he is dead because his soul has left his body so he runs home but he cannot open the door because he is a ghost so gives up and decides to wonder to park. Scene where he is siting on swing we see two vies one from him on swing seeing people pass but they only see has swing swaying in wind. Shots of time just going bye and how nothing has changed


Act Three : Resolution
Ends up in the alley again and a tear is going from the characters eye and he say " This is my story" and he walks out the alley way again and disappears for ever.

NEA Evaluation

My short film is called “Consequences” and it is about the outcome of someone being bullied resulting in his death. The main short film I gained influence from was “Over” because my short film is done in reverse chronological order with his death already happening so we see the events leading up to it. Another influence I gained from the short film “Over” is the use of time stamps to show the date and time so the reverse order makes sense. Between shot transitions I used time stamps to show the date this was done to help orientate the audience so they don’t get confused by the non-linear order.
